If you really want to know about Fred Phelps (and have aspirin handy for the aftermath of pounding your head against the nearest wall), drop "Westboro Baptist Church" into Wikipedia. Having personally counterprotested his loons, I won't say more for fear of exploding in a cloud of bile.
